Responsibilities
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using modern technologies (e.g., .NET Core, Java, Cloud Services).
- Conduct code reviews, technical mentoring, and architectural guidance for junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, subject matter experts, and external vendors.
- Ensure all solutions comply with New York State cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement robust solutions to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software engineering, or IT consulting.
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Experience working within a large-scale government or enterprise environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
