Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex network infrastructure and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of servers, storage, and virtualization systems.
- Ensure compliance with state security policies, including data encryption and access controls.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency.
- Lead incident response efforts to resolve critical system outages and service interruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architectural standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering or network administration.
- Professional certification such as CCNP, RHCE, or AWS Solutions Architect.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of government IT frameworks and regulatory compliance standards is highly preferred.
