Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex server and network infrastructure environments.
- Implement and enforce rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead the modernization of legacy systems by migrating workloads to secure cloud environments.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system outages and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architectural standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, network administration, or IT infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in managing hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a required background security clearance.
