Responsibilities
- Network & Systems Administration: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for county staff, providing top-tier customer service and timely resolutions.
- Security Implementation: Enforce data protection protocols, manage access controls, and conduct regular security audits to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Hardware & Software Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, servers, and software applications.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventories.
- Project Collaboration: Assist in IT projects and upgrades, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver results on time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical environments.
