Lead the design, planning, and implementation of critical transportation infrastructure while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex transportation projects including highway design, traffic flow optimization, and transit systems
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for capital improvement projects
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure project alignment and regulatory compliance
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Ensure all projects meet safety standards and ADA compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with FHWA and ADOT design standards
- Strong project management skills with budget oversight experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Arizona driver's license
