Responsibilities
- Oversee complex highway and bridge design projects in the Seattle metropolitan area
- Manage transportation planning studies and environmental compliance documentation
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and government agencies
- Develop innovative solutions for traffic flow optimization and safety improvements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro)
- Demonstrated experience with WSDOT design standards and permitting processes
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Washington State driver's license
