Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze transportation data for strategic planning
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams including contractors, consultants, and agency staff
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and environmental impact assessments
- Implement sustainable transportation solutions and emerging technologies
- Coordinate with local municipalities and federal agencies for project alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and project delivery processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex technical data
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations (FHWA, TxDOT)
