Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway/bridge construction projects in Detroit metro area
- Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage engineering contracts and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Collaborate with local governments on transportation planning initiatives
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and cost-benefit analyses
- Lead multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects
- Implement sustainable transportation solutions for urban environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation software
- Experience with federal/state transportation funding programs
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Knowledge of ADA, MUTCD, and MDOT design standards
- Strong written/verbal communication abilities
