Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for urban and rural areas
- Analyze traffic patterns and infrastructure data using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project compliance
- Manage multimodal transportation initiatives including public transit and bike lanes
- Prepare grant applications and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Mentor junior planners and lead stakeholder engagement sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, or similar modeling software
- Knowledge of federal transportation regulations (FHWA, FTA)
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with NEPA documentation preferred
