Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering for major highway and bridge projects in King County
- Conduct traffic impact studies and develop mitigation strategies
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and contractor compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Utilize advanced GIS and CAD software for project modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State
- Expertise in MUTCD and WSDOT design standards
- Strong project management and leadership abilities
- Experience with transportation modeling software (TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
