Responsibilities
- Lead complex transportation planning projects for Portland metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic patterns and mobility trends using GIS and statistical modeling
- Develop multimodal transportation solutions integrating bike/pedestrian infrastructure
- Coordinate with local governments and community stakeholders
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals for federal/state programs
- Ensure compliance with federal transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA)
- Mentor junior planners and conduct peer reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling tools
- Experience with federal grant programs (TIGER, STP)
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Oregon transportation policies and regulations
- Project management certification (PMP) preferred
