Responsibilities
- Manage complex highway construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate with local municipalities and community leaders to address public concerns and maintain project transparency
- Analyze traffic data and environmental impact assessments to optimize project designs
- Oversee budget allocation and expenditure tracking for multi-million dollar infrastructure initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports and presentations for executive leadership review
- Implement innovative traffic management solutions during construction phases
- Mentor junior staff and foster cross-departmental collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in transportation project management
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS mapping, and project management software
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-agency stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical skills for traffic flow modeling and infrastructure evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for public presentations
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
