Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for Louisville metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic patterns and infrastructure data using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance documentation
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed projects
- Present findings to public officials and community groups
- Maintain compliance with federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, or similar planning software
- Knowledge of federal transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA)
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- Experience with public project management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Master's degree preferred
