Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on highways, bridges, and traffic systems during weekend shifts
- Operate specialized equipment including sweepers, sign trucks, and pavement markers
- Respond to emergency incidents (e.g., debris removal, minor repairs) within 2-hour response window
- Conduct safety inspections of roadways and report infrastructure concerns
- Collaborate with traffic management teams for weekend event support
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and maintenance documentation
- Train junior staff on weekend-specific protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
