Responsibilities
- Develop and revise zoning ordinances and land use policies
- Lead community engagement sessions for major infrastructure projects
- Analyze demographic data to inform strategic urban growth initiatives
- Prepare environmental impact assessments for proposed developments
- Manage GIS mapping systems for urban planning documentation
- Coordinate with state and federal agencies on grant-funded projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
- 5+ years of municipal planning experience
- Professional Planner (AICP) certification required
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS and CAD software
- Strong knowledge of Nebraska zoning laws and NEPA compliance
- Experience managing public budgets over $500K
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
