Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive urban planning initiatives for downtown revitalization and neighborhood development
- Collaborate with community stakeholders and elected officials on zoning policy updates
- Analyze demographic and economic data to inform strategic planning decisions
- Manage environmental impact assessments and sustainability compliance
- Oversee public engagement processes including hearings and workshops
- Develop long-range transportation and infrastructure improvement plans
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for city council review
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive planning experience in municipal government
- Professional AICP certification strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with community outreach and public speaking
- Knowledge of Missouri state planning regulations and local ordinances
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
