Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy equipment safely (bulldozers, excavators, rollers)
- Install/maintain public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist during emergency weather response (flood control, debris removal)
- Maintain accurate work logs and project documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/emergencies
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 6 months (training provided)
