Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labor including excavation, grading, and paving.
- Operate and maintain heavy and light construction equipment safely.
- Assist in the pouring and finishing of concrete structures.
- Inspect and maintain public infrastructure such as signs, guardrails, and utility covers.
- Load and unload construction materials and tools efficiently.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and department protocols.
- Collaborate with foremen and team members to complete projects on time.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in public works or construction is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and construction site safety.
