Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs to support county operations.
- Maintain and optimize legacy systems to ensure 99.9% uptime and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for software security and performance.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a corporate or government environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python and experience with SQL databases.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
