Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including paving, patching, and cleaning public streets and sidewalks.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as dump trucks, rollers, and loaders under supervision.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices and barricades in work zones.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites.
- Communicate effectively with crew leaders and other team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping tools is a plus.
