Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to ensure facility integrity
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Operate security systems including cameras and access controls
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and holidays
- No felony convictions
