Job Summary:
The Administrative Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for departmental inquiries, manage complex filing systems, and assist with data entry and reporting. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of county operations.
Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Receive and screen incoming calls and visitors; route inquiries to appropriate staff members promptly.
- Record Management: Organize, maintain, and archive physical and digital records in compliance with county retention policies.
- Data Management: Input, update, and verify data into county databases and spreadsheets with high accuracy.
- Documentation: Draft, proofread, and distribute memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Meeting Support: Coordinate room reservations, prepare meeting agendas, and take minutes during official sessions.
- Inventory Control: Assist in the tracking of office supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Service preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience, preferably within a government or large corporate setting.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
