Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive government data and systems.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess IT needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, updates, and backups to maintain system integrity.
- Train staff on new software applications and cybersecurity best practices.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to obtain a State of Texas Level II Background Check.
