Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical state government systems and applications during weekend shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues affecting government operations.
- Implement and enforce strict data security protocols and compliance standards required by state regulations.
- Conduct routine system backups, patch management, and security audits during off-peak hours.
- Collaborate with the on-call team and government agency stakeholders to resolve urgent technical escalations.
- Document technical procedures, incident reports, and system changes to maintain comprehensive records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Proven experience working in a government or highly regulated environment is a strong plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
