Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues for state employees during night operations.
- Monitor server health, perform routine system maintenance, and patch management to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Manage and secure remote access connections to critical government databases and applications.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and technical inquiries via phone and remote desktop tools.
- Conduct data backups and validate integrity of critical state records during low-traffic periods.
- Collaborate with day-shift IT teams to document issues and ensure seamless transition of support.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct basic security audits during shift.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, Help Desk, or System Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk) and remote access tools (TeamViewer, RDP).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a night shift environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and obtain a government security clearance.
