Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed data analysis and audit of pension records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of complex financial reports and compliance documentation for the State Pension Plan.
- Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to retirees, beneficiaries, and stakeholders regarding pension inquiries.
- Collaborate with the full-time actuarial and finance teams to monitor pension fund performance and projections.
- Review and process incoming pension applications and documentation with a high degree of precision.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the state’s financial management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience working with government pension systems or actuarial data is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work independently within a part-time schedule.
