Responsibilities

- <li>Manage and maintain servers, virtualization environments, and network infrastructure during weekend operations.</li>
- <li>Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with state regulations.</li>
- <li>Troubleshoot and resolve critical hardware and software issues to minimize downtime for state applications.</li>
- <li>Monitor system performance metrics and generate reports for the central IT leadership team.</li>
- <li>Collaborate with on-call teams during emergencies to restore services efficiently.</li>
- <li>Document technical procedures, incident reports, and configuration changes for knowledge base retention.</li>
- <li>Ensure strict adherence to cybersecurity protocols and ITIL best practices.</li>

Qualifications
- <ul>
- <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent technical certification and experience).</li>
- <li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering within a government or enterprise environment.</li>
- <li>Strong technical proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.</li>
- <li>Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is highly preferred.</li>
- <li>Possession of relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator is a plus.</li>
- <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and make sound technical decisions under pressure.</li>
- <li>Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various state facilities if required.</li>
