Responsibilities
- System Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of critical state government IT infrastructure and software applications.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights for state policy-making and operational improvements.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring compliance with state regulations and deadlines.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data and maintain integrity.
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries from state agencies, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and system architecture diagrams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems analysis, network administration, or a related technical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Project Management Professional (PMP), or ITIL are a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
