The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is committed to the safety and well-being of children and families. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Social Services Case Manager to join our dedicated team in Jacksonville. This role requires weekend availability to ensure continuous support for vulnerable populations.
In this pivotal position, you will assess client needs, coordinate community resources, and develop individualized case plans. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly influence positive outcomes for families.

Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate the social, emotional, and economic needs of families and children to determine appropriate services and support systems.
- Develop Case Plans: Create, implement, and monitor individualized service plans that promote safety, permanency, and well-being.
- Coordinate Community Resources: Act as a liaison between clients and external agencies, including healthcare providers, housing authorities, and legal services.
- Manage Crisis Interventions: Respond effectively to emergency situations and high-risk cases, ensuring immediate safety protocols are followed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of clients within the legal and social service systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related human services field required. Master’s degree (MSW) preferred.
- Licensure: Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and state case management software.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for field visits.
