Job Summary:
As a Daily Pay Driver/Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks related to road maintenance, traffic control, and site cleanup. Your primary focus will be on safety and efficiency while adhering to state regulations and department protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy and light machinery safely according to all state and federal regulations.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, paving, and cleaning work zones.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices (cones, signs, barriers) to ensure worker and public safety.
- Inspect work areas for hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Collaborate with a team to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not always required for all positions).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or driving is a plus.
