Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of state pension plans and retirement accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Analyze pension data and benefits calculations to resolve complex inquiries from state employees and retirees.
- Ensure full compliance with ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and Texas state pension laws.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to optimize pension program structures and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service and conduct training sessions on retirement benefits for government staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, pension management, or a state government retirement system.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA, FERS, or similar retirement frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension administration software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
