Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including asphalt pavers, rollers, and pavement grinders, to perform road maintenance.
- Perform routine and emergency street repair tasks, such as pothole patching, grinding, and resurfacing.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices to ensure the safety of the crew and the public.
- Inspect city sidewalks, curbs, and gutters for damage and perform necessary repairs.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and supplies to various job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in road construction, paving, or municipal maintenance is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions, including extreme desert heat.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
