Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers, virtualization platforms, and network hardware during weekend shifts.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory environments, including user accounts, group policies, and security permissions.
- Implement and monitor backup solutions to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve critical incidents escalated from the weekday operations.
- Conduct software updates, patch management, and security compliance audits on government-owned systems.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports in accordance with ITIL standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or network engineering within a corporate or government environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with high availability requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
