Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Design: Evaluate existing government software and hardware to identify inefficiencies and propose technical solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Data Management: Maintain and optimize database structures, ensuring the accuracy, security, and compliance of sensitive records in accordance with state regulations.
- User Support & Training: Provide advanced technical support to office staff and conduct training sessions to ensure proficiency with new digital tools and internal systems.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system audits, security patches, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external IT vendors to manage software licenses, upgrades, and service contracts.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system architecture diagrams.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in systems analysis, database management, or a similar technical role within a government or large organizational environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with government record-keeping systems (e.g., IBM FileNet or similar).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications are a plus.
