Responsibilities
- Perform routine street sweeping, cleaning, and maintenance activities to ensure city compliance.
- Assist in the repair, maintenance, and installation of sidewalks, curbs, and asphalt.
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely, including jackhammers and pressure washers.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools to various job sites.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to strict safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to all city ordinances, traffic laws, and safety protocols during operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety.
