Responsibilities
- Direct vehicular traffic at construction sites using standardized hand signals and signage
- Set up and maintain work zone safety barriers in compliance with INDOT protocols
- Monitor traffic flow and report hazards to field supervisors
- Communicate effectively with construction crews and law enforcement
- Ensure compliance with MUTCD standards for temporary traffic control
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 6 months traffic control or flagging experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication and situational awareness skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
