Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of highway improvement projects within King County
- Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend infrastructure solutions
- Manage project budgets and timelines while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including urban planners and environmental specialists
- Prepare technical documentation and engineering reports for public review
- Lead site inspections and quality control assessments for construction sites
- Research and implement sustainable transportation technologies
- Present project updates to stakeholders and community groups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated project management experience with multimillion-dollar budgets
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, WSDOT standards, and federal transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
