Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic data and engineering specifications for compliance with federal/state regulations
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor coordination
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, CAD drawings, and environmental impact assessments
- Implement TxDOT's safety standards and quality control protocols
- Lead public outreach initiatives for community infrastructure projects
- Stay current with transportation engineering innovations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and traffic modeling software
- Deep knowledge of TxDOT standards and federal transportation regulations
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with environmental compliance documentation
