Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform infrastructure improvements
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project implementation
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Review and approve engineering plans and contractor submissions
- Ensure all projects meet safety standards and TxDOT regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and federal regulations
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural government environment
- Valid Texas driver's license
