Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to optimize road safety and efficiency
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and specifications
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on project compliance
- Manage project budgets and timelines while ensuring adherence to INDOT standards
- Review and approve contractor submissions for technical accuracy
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and transportation modeling software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD and INDOT design standards
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Valid Indiana driver's license
