Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Analyze traffic flow data to optimize safety and efficiency for Baltimore's urban corridors
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate with city officials, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and engineering specifications
- Implement sustainable transportation solutions for Maryland's capital region
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience with state/federal projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland
- Proficiency in CAD software (Auto Civil 3D) and traffic modeling tools (Synchro)
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO standards, and MDOT design guidelines
- Experience with public procurement processes and NEPA documentation
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
