Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and transit systems
- Analyze traffic patterns and data to develop engineering solutions for urban mobility challenges
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders on project implementation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Utilize CAD/GIS software for modeling and visualization of transportation networks
- Conduct field inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, ODOT standards, and federal transportation regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex urban transportation issues
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
