Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and surveys for highway construction and maintenance projects
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software
- Analyze traffic data and recommend traffic control improvements
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards
- Assist in environmental assessments and permitting processes
- Prepare detailed progress reports and documentation for stakeholders
- Coordinate with local municipalities and contractors on project implementation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering or construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering design software
- Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- Familiarity with PennDOT design standards and specifications
- Certification in traffic control devices (MUTCD) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in field conditions and variable weather
