Responsibilities
- Assist in design and drafting of transportation plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Conduct field inspections and data collection for highway projects
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with contractors and municipal agencies on project timelines
- Support traffic analysis and pavement evaluation studies
- Manage project documentation and permit applications
- Participate in public outreach meetings for community projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2+ years of transportation engineering experience preferred
- Texas Class 'C' Driver's License with clean record
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and FHWA regulations
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and variable weather
- Pass background check and drug screening
