Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and data collection for highway construction and maintenance projects
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Analyze traffic patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements for safety and efficiency
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and local government officials on project timelines
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT standards, FHWA regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years of transportation engineering or construction inspection experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and construction specifications
- Ability to interpret engineering plans and perform field calculations
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder coordination
