Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Conduct traffic impact studies and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and municipal agencies on transportation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safety standards
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders
- Lead environmental reviews and permitting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD and federal transportation regulations
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Experience with public works project delivery processes
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
