Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Analyze traffic patterns and develop data-driven solutions for congestion mitigation
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project compliance and funding
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, cost estimates, and environmental impact statements
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineering staff
- Ensure all projects adhere to NCDOT standards and state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation software
- Demonstrated experience with federally funded transportation projects
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of MUTCD standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
