Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of highway improvement projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Analyze traffic flow data and develop congestion mitigation strategies
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on infrastructure planning
- Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with TxDOT standards
- Manage environmental impact assessments and permitting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro)
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and procedures
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
