Responsibilities
- Oversee design and construction of state highways, interchanges, and transit facilities
- Conduct traffic studies and infrastructure impact analyses for urban corridors
- Manage capital improvement projects ($10M+ budgets) with strict compliance protocols
- Coordinate with federal, county, and municipal agencies for integrated solutions
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and environmental documentation
- Implement Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across North Texas
- Lead public consultations and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience (public sector preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and federal regulations (23 CFR)
- Proven project management experience with complex infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating pavement, drainage, and geometric design
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
