Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway/bridge construction projects in San Antonio metropolitan area
- Conduct traffic impact analyses and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor compliance
- Coordinate with local municipalities and federal agencies
- Review engineering plans for compliance with state/federal regulations
- Lead public engagement sessions for community input
- Mentor junior engineers on technical standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and procedures
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel to project sites
